Terrorism & the Duty of Care
We are very fortunate to have Roger Kember of Integrated Continuity Systems, formerly a Superintendent for the Metropolitan Police Service, speaking at our BANG London event on Wednesday 27th September about the implementation of Government advice on mass casualty terrorist attacks and measures to prevent, mitigate and respond to them.
His presentation will include physical risks to unprotected buildings and staff, most of which might seem obvious, yet are often forgotten about. Less considered are: the long-term risks to the business or organisation and the financial and reputational risks of civil actions for death, physical injury and psychological trauma that can be taken citing employer negligence under the legal ‘duty of care’.
